On November 25, 2019, the Robert S. Tucker Prize for Prosecutorial Excellence was awarded to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez by the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. The award, endowed by T&M Chairman and CEO Robert S. Tucker, Esq., honors prosecutors who have made extraordinary contributions to the profession.

Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field of criminal prosecution and excellence in prosecutorial practice. Under his leadership, the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office has become a national model for fair prosecution and progressive policies. The DA's innovative approach to "community prosecution" has brought together precinct commanders, police officers and citizens, which ultimately strengthened relationships between law enforcement and communities. DA Gonzalez also championed bail reform and immigration policies, striking an important and critical balance between public safety and ensuring fairness for all Brooklyn residents.
