NEW YORK, NY – September 29, 2017 – T&M Protection Resources, LLC (T&M), a New York City based global provider of integrated security, cyber, intelligence and investigative solutions, is pleased to announce that it has once again become a Champion of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2017. T&M will join a growing global effort among businesses, government agencies, colleges and universities, associations, nonprofit organizations and individuals to promote online safety awareness.
Recognized every October, NCSAM was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure all digital citizens have the resources needed to stay safer and more secure online while also protecting their personal information. As an official Champion, T&M recognizes its commitment to cyber security, online safety and privacy.
“In an era of rapidly evolving cyber threats, we are pleased to participate as a Champion in National Cyber Security Awareness Month and help raise awareness of today’s security challenges,” stated T&M Chairman and CEO Robert S. Tucker. “Educating our clients in cyber safety is one of the ways that T&M continues to provide the best security, intelligence and risk mitigation solutions.”
"With cyber attacks growing in both frequency and sophistication, it is critical to provide the training and tips that enable everyone to be cyber safe,” commented Paul G. Lewis, Vice President of T&M’s Technology Risk division, a strategic business initiative comprised of Information Security, Cyber Incident Response, Compliance Technology Consulting and Data Forensics. “T&M provides innovative cyber security solutions and awareness training to clients around the world and is proud to be a NCSAM Champion.”
Coordinated and led by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), NCSAM has grown exponentially since its inception, reaching consumers, small- and medium-sized businesses, corporations, educational institutions and young people across the nation and internationally. NCSAM 2015 was an unprecedented success, generating more than 1,700 news stories –an increase of 74 percent from NCSAM 2014’s media coverage. Kicking off NCSAM’s 14th year, this October presents a new opportunity to expand cybersecurity and privacy education and awareness globally.
“The Champion program is a vital part of National Cyber Security Awareness Month’s ongoing success. More than 700 organizations joined in 2015, a nearly 80-percent increase from the year before,” said Michael Kaiser, Executive Director of the National Cyber Security Alliance. “We are thankful to our Champion organizations for their support and commitment to our shared responsibility of promoting cyber security and online safety awareness.”
